During the COVID lockdown I created a tool for linking volunteers with those who needed help. The tool was designed to help volunteers pick up necessary supplies for those who were isolating due to having COVID or because they were vulnerable. The volunteer manager would enter the 'customers' name then add any supplies they needed, split between groceries, pharmacy and bakers. The order would then be assigned to a volunteer driver and or shopper. The tool used email and SMS to communicate between all the involved parties as well as having a specific print tool for those who wanted their days tasks on paper.

I rolled the system out to 12 different groups in Pembrokeshire, Cornwall and Shropshire.

I created a simple website to demonstrate what the system did.
