Date: September 2022 – Current Day

Role: Front end developer for .GOV/HMRC payment systems. Working on prototype and main repositories. Using Node, Express, Nunjucks, Scala and the .GOV component library. Creating highly accessible web pages that used by millions of people each day.

Date: June 2020 – September 2022

Role: GCP, Docker, Python/Flask, PHP, object/MySQL/BigQuery, AMQP/IOT messaging (RabbitMQ), building data processing/visualisation and machine learning behind responsive HTML/jQuery/VueJS/SASS. Hardware integration (GPS, IMU, Thermal/RGB cameras) into scripted automation. 3D visualisation and animation (3D Studio Max, Creative Suite). All used to help achieve the goal of net-zero carbon buildings and a more sustainable built environment.

Date: April 2016 – June 2020

Role: Lead Front End Developer. Responsive HTML/SASS/JS (jQuery, Vue), SEO (regionalised), automated browser testing (Node JS/Selenium), Dev roadmap, eCommerce Google Analytics (gTag), A/B Testing (Google Optimise and VWO) and implementation of third parties (Tag managers, dropped baskets etc). We used continuous integration with GIT/ TeamCity/Octopus using Grunt for linting JS and SASS to CSS compiling. I was part of Shopify re-platforming project, creating a new Shopify theme from the ground up.

Date: October 2015 to March 2016

Role: Consultant Front End Developer. I was employed as a contractor to update the councils current Umbraco and other .NET websites to be fully responsive, using Bootstrap/HTML. I have additionally been briefed with creating single-page-app type functionality for some of the news sites using Angular and jQuery.

Date: March 2015 to October 2015

Role: Head of creative output (websites, video & social media). I also lead the front end development (Responsive HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery) and the development of a bespoke API (accessed via jSON/AJAX).

Date: January 2011 to March 2015

Role: Senior Front End Developer. I was lead front end developer for any bespoke projects within Net-a-porter, creating responsive mini-sites and landing pages with bespoke functionality (email capture, interactive catwalks etc) for events such as fashion week. This required extensive use of HTML, CSS, and jQuery.

Date: November 2006 – January 2011

Role: New Media Designer (Permanent). I worked on a wide range of New Media projects, from Bobby AAA websites (design and build) to Flash games. I work directly with clients for smaller projects and as part of a bigger team for larger projects.

Date: June 2004 – November 2006

Role: New Media Designer (Permanent). My work at Brazil Design includes seeing website production through from start to finish with a certain degree of project management included. At Brazil we have begun specialising in the production of fully accessible website up to Bobby AAA standard. My role in Brazil was varied; I have produced DVD’s, CD-ROMs and HTML e-mailers. I have also acquired a good knowledge of ASP scripting allowing me to build content management systems for the websites we produce.
